The City of Long Branch has grown since the last Census. The current population is estimated to be approximately 32,091 (+2.4% changes) per the census numbers in 2000 the population was 31,340.

The city of Long Branch has a land area of 5.10 square miles and is located in the north coast area of the county. The Elberson sections of Long Branch, is nicknamed the Newport of the Jersey Shore at the turn of the century. It is still know for it grand Victorian and Gothic architecture.

Long Branch is a combination of Single Family Home, Oceanfront high-rise condominiums, townhomes and apartments. Recently the development of a first class oceanfront hotel has inspired large-scale plans for redevelopment.

Transportation:

Long Branch is connected to New York City and Northern New Jersey via NJ Transit   The main train station is only three blocks away from the beach, and a second station is located in the Elberon district just north of the borough of Deal

Long Branch offers fun for the entire family with the Oceanfront Boardwalk, and Great Beaches. A popular shopping area is the West End Village with outdoor shopping and dining. One of the hottest places to visit is the Pier Village location on the oceanfront boardwalk. Pier Village McCloone’s Pier House offering Lunch, Dinner and Sunday brunch McCloone’s also has a large wine list. Another popular stop for dining is Charley’s Ocean Grill it’s been a town favorite since 1985.

Long Branch offers fun for the entire family with the Oceanfront Boardwalk, and Great Beaches. A popular shopping area is the West End Village and Pire Village with outdoor shopping  all along the New Jersey shoreline.
